Baroque Alto Recorder by Hans Coolsma After Bressan

  • Model: Bressan
  • Pitch: A = 415 Hz
  • Wood: boxwood (ivory mounts)
  • Ships from: Holland
  • Price: 2300 €
  • Current state: The instrument is in perfect condition, plays easily all registers, specially the high octave. I bought it second hand last year, it was part of a collection with other three 415 Hz altos, so it was not much used and the owner had a lot of care with it. It had a thumb rest that I took out, so it remains a bit of clue in the back. The ornamental rings are most probably made of ivory, altought it doesn’t come with a document proving it. AAFAB says that Coolsma had a big storage of old billiard balls made of the material and used it for ornamental rings. It comes with a hard case, also in very good condition. Serial number (26018).
