- Current state: Beautiful handcrafted Baroque traverso made by Pablo Carpintero Arias, based on an original instrument by Bernard Hemsing (Wesel, Germany, early 18th century). Made of boxwood, with a lovely warm, honey-coloured finish and elegant ivory-coloured rings, the instrument has a beautiful and traditional appearance. It is pitched at A=415 Hz, making it suitable for historically informed performances of Baroque repertoire. The instrument has been barely used and is in good condition, making it a great opportunity for anyone looking for a historical flute. Some notes present intonation challenges, which can be compensated for through adjustments to the embouchure, as is often the case with other Baroque traversos. Ideal for students, professional musicians, or early music enthusiasts.
