Baroque Flute by J.J. Melzer after Rottenburgh

  • Model: Rottenburgh (study model)
  • Pitch: A = 440 + 415 Hz
  • Wood: boxwood
  • Built in: 2022
  • Ships from: France
  • Price: 800 €
  • Current state: The instrument is a study model, after Rottenburgh. It handily has two middle joints (A=415 and A=440), and an adjustable foot depending on the tuning used. There is a stick with a flat end to adjust the cork in the head piece, and sample of pad to replace that of the key. It comes in a handmade quilted case. It is in great playing condition after 2 years of lessons and auditions. The flute was serviced by the maker in January 2024 to stabilise tuning. It was a fantastic instrument to get started, and I’m selling it to move on to a professional instrument!
