Baroque tenor recorder by Luca de Paolis

  • Model: LdP baroque tenor
  • Pitch: A = 415 Hz + A = 440 Hz (two bodies)
  • Wood: Olivewood (stained)
  • Built in: 2017
  • Revoiced by: Nikolaj Ronimus (2020)
  • Ships from: Germany
  • Price: 2000 €
  • Current state: This instrument is very bold in the lower register, clear and rounded in the middle register, a little airy but sweet and very easy to play in the upper register. With two bodies it is of course flexible in different contexts, and it has worked well in both ensemble and solo contexts. You can find out more about the design on the LdP website. The instrument was retuned and revoiced by Nikolaj Ronimus in 2020, which fixed up some tuning problems and made the voicing much smoother between registers.
