Alto Recorder With Two Joints by Fumitaka Saito

  • Model: maker’s own design
  • Pitch: A = 440 Hz (alto in F) plus A = 415 Hz (alto in G)
  • Wood: boxwood
  • Built in: ca. 1998
  • Ships from: The Netherlands
  • Price: 1800 SALE! 1600 € (New price is currently 2600 €)
  • Current state: The instrument is in very good shape, with a wonderful bright sound. It has recently be checked by the maker. At A = 415 Hz, it is an alto recorder in G, suitable for i.e. Vivaldi concerto’s and chamber music in D. The extra middle joint turns the instrument in an alto in F at a = 440 Hz. So you have two different recorders in one! The original G alto middle joint has a thumb whole that is still perfect, the larger middle joint for the recorder in F, a = 440 Hz, has a slightly worn thumb whole, but this has no negative influence on sound or otherwise.
