- Current state: A birchwood Paetzold contrabass in F (one octave below a f-basset recorder) in excellent condition. After having used it for at least 20 years, it is in a great condition. The instrument is sold as a 442Hz instrument and has also a couple of pitch plates for slightly lowering the pitch (e.g. to 440Hz). I repaired the joint felt between the various sections and also replaced them in the two keys corresponding to the lowest notes (F/F#). The mouthpiece and case are new (bought a week ago). I’m also giving away the foot used to keep it upright (it is in good condition)
