- Current state: The instrument is unused and purchased in February 2024 (list price was 1850 Pounds). Küng stopped the production, so the recorder is one of the last new/unused of its kind. The tone is powerful and in strength level with an oboe, flute, clarinet or any other modern orchestral instrument. The sound is soft, round and impressively full. It needs a bit more breath (I am older and short of breath). In immaculate condition. A beautiful instrument.
