Basset in F Recorder by Francesco Li Virghi After I. H. Rottenburgh

  • Model: I. H. Rottenburgh
  • Pitch: A = 415 Hz
  • Wood: maple
  • Built in: 2023
  • Ships from: Germany
  • Price: 3500 €
  • Current state: It is a beautiful bass recorder, which also plays the solo repertoire with a wide range with such ease, elegance and sweetness that it is a great pleasure. An agile instrument, less suitable as a strong bass in an ensemble, and more as a great colour in the baroque repertoire. The instrument plays almost like an original recorder, all the normal fingerings are possible, but the sound is excellent with many colours, medium loud, extremely responsive and filigree in its expressive possibilities. The intonation is perfect. It needs a little stretching in the right hand to cover all the holes nicely. Perfect condition, marvellous instrument, not played, stable in tuning and sound.
