  • Pitch: A = 415 Hz
  • Wood: stained boxwood
  • Built in: 1999. Completed after Morgan’s dead by Heinz Ammann

  • Current state: This wonderful instrument comes from an estate, it is in perfect condition, and has not been played since it has been with a collector for years. The condition and cleanliness in every detail of this recorder are remarkable. In 1999, the recorder was delivered to Europe, the body was completed two years later by the Swiss recorder maker Heinz Ammann. A great connoisseur and admirer of Fred’s instruments, he has done a wonderful work down to the smallest detail. This recorder is a jewel and impresses with craftsmanship perfection, with a characteristically delicate, many-colored sound and able to produce a differently expressive musical language in the different registers. Perfect response, easy to play, does not need so much air, also suitable for tasteful amateur players and connoisseurs of tasteful recorders. The instrument is in perfect condition, not overly loud and full of sound impressions.
