New and purchased directly from Ralf on the occasion of a visit to my home in 2015, where he brought me some of his instruments to try out in detail. In excellent condition with no damage whatsoever. This recorder has been played not much. It is easy to play and the sound is balanced and convincing through all registers, including fine high notes and strong low notes. It is a truly beautiful handmade instrument, and it would just be nice, if this recorder was used more regularly and its sound could be heard more often.
