Baroque Alto Recorder by Morgan / Ronimus After Stanesby Jr

  • Model: Stanesby Jr.
  • Pitch: A = 415 Hz
  • Wood: boxwood
  • Built in: 2012/2013
  • Ships from: Spain
  • Price: 3500 €
  • Current state: This recorder after Stanesby was made in F. Morgan’s workshop in 2012 and finished by Nikolaj Ronimus a year later; the original buyer (from whom I bought it) only used it for a short period of time for a recording (La Dispersione, “Flauto a Napoli” – featured in Barbella’s concerto). I almost haven’t used the instrument but gave it to Ronimus when he came to Seville in 2018 to have it revoiced and fitted with a thumb ring. Fernando Paz made an extra block (included in the price) that provides a different quality to the flexible sound of this Stanesby alto.
